A wise person has said „Change will lead to insight much more often than an insight will lead to change“.

When you are inside a situation, you have the insights that are a function of your being in there. And it does not matter if they are causes or effects. Unless you shift somehow, it is difficult if not impossible to have any other sights.

Any shift from the position on the other hand will lead to alternative sights, I call them „outsights“. Equally fitting would be to call them new understandings, aha-moments and learnings. So, change precedes these.

The reverse is not necessarily true. Insights are not sufficient to cause change, while any change leads to new sights.

And what are your thoughts?
